Day of Rest

So, no big activities today. In the morning the weather was still cold and drizzly. By the afternoon the sun had started to peek through and I thought of taking the kids out but Ethan just looked tired. He has not been getting naps of any submstance here and I suspected that if I took him anywhere on the bus he'd be asleep within 10 minutes. My intution about him being tired was right as he fell asleep in front of the norwegian Hannah Monana TV show around 3:30PM or so and I was able to put him into his bed. I think he slept until around 7PM. Now it is 11:30PM and Nic just put him into bed again.

The good news weather wise it that it looks sunny and 60 degrees for the near future so it will make it more pleasant to go on our outings! The other recent good news around here is that Christian reimbursed us for all out our plane tickets to Norway! Nic cashed the check yesterday and so now we have a lot of Kroner to spend. Given the prices of things this may not be too hard. We are planning a little driving get-a-away for next week. Christian is going to be down in Oslo for the week (interviewing the Abel prize winner) and he has suggested that we go on a tour of the fjords. The trip will involve MANY ferries and some spectacular scenery - so we've heard. We've rented a car for Monday AM - Thursday AM and plan to spend one night in Geiranger (the purported crown jewel of the Norwegian Fjords) and then one night in Alesund. Then we will be back in Trondheim until our big cruise up the coast (May 28th to June 2nd). Then off to Paris on June 3rd. A month is starting to seem short now.

One other random musing .... We discovered a pizza dough in the grocery store that you just unravel into a rectangle made by Peppe's Pizza (a good local pizza chain that we haven't tried yet). We also bought Peppe's pizza sauce and cheese and it turned out very good. A nice surprise as sometimes you do not know what you are going to get!
